Juno – Sailing Barge Charter

After his voyage to the West Country in JUNO a couple of years ago, Charlie Ward announced that he would be retiring from chartering and concentrate instead on private family sailing, to coincide with his retirement from boatbuilding after 46 years.

However, Charlie tells us now that he has decided to continue offering a limited number of local charters ‘ for a few more years’.  We are also pleased to confirm that he has asked Neil (who was very involved in the building of Juno) to join him as Juno’s Mate for the coming season, and beyond.

In fact looking further ahead, Charlie is hoping that Neil will work his way up to become JUNO’S relief skipper within a couple of years when he has gained enough experience sailing JUNO to take on the role, and completed the statutory training required for a Skippers licence.

We are happy to be working closely with Charlie helping to promote charters on JUNO, and want to offer our customers the opportunity to charter this unique vessel for one of the limited dates she is available during the summer months.

Chartering JUNO for an all-day charter trip along the North Norfolk coast ( including landing on a remote beach for walking and exploring during low tide) is a very memorable experience, which explains why Charlie has so many repeat bookings every year!
